The Petroussa-Pyrgon Canyon starts north of the village of Pyrgon and ends in Petrousa. With a length of more than 10 km, it is an attraction for nature lovers – walkers, who can cross it under vertical rocks, in a landscape of outstanding natural beauty. The slopes of the gorge are home to colorful wildflowers, hardy dry plants and interesting tree vegetation. In addition, the gorge is a refuge for numerous species of fauna. The route through the canyon is almost flat, only in some places it climbs uphill, and the ground is paved with stream stones and winds between steep and very wooded ridges. In many places it becomes extremely narrow with a width of no more than 3-5 metres, where water basins are formed.
