This is the first Station of the Prefecture of Drama on the Thessaloniki-Alexandroupoli line. It was inaugurated in 1896 and together with some of its auxiliary buildings have been designated as monuments by the Central Council of New Monuments.
The building has two floors and the ground floor hosts the station’s employees’ quarters, while the first floor is used as the Station Master’s residence. On the right narrow side of the station from the side of the lines, a single-story wooden building structure is adjacent, which served as a waiting area for passengers. It is a special use building and maintains its original morphological and structural elements, it is connected to the social and economic development of its area and is therefore important for the development of the area from a historical, cultural, cultural, economic and social point of view at the end of 19th and early 20th century.
