In Pagoneri, the Epiphany events last two days, January 6 and 7, with the preparations starting at 9 in the evening of January 5, where they prepare the goats, bells and costumes. The action “Harapia” corresponding to that of “Arapides” is revived on Epiphany day, January 6, where the disguised people start from the house of “Arapi”, meet the congregation returning from the consecration of the waters and all together go to the square, for the revival of “Harapides”, at 11 a.m.
The “Arapides” are disguised as sheep, a man plays the bride, whom the “Arapides” protect as their sister from any would-be thief. Another face of the troupe is a man dressed as a gypsy woman, holding a baby in his arms who is trying to sell it. There is also the “Hatlis” (doctor) with a pig skin headdress. The event lasts until the evening, with dances and songs.
