Monument to the murdered, Adriani

The Martyr Community of Hadrian also paid a high blood tax during the period of the Bulgarian Occupation. According to researchers, the victims in the period 1916-1918 amounted to 500 people.
In memory of the executed residents of Hadriani, the Community has erected a monument, just outside the village, opposite the old Railway Station. After the liberation, every year, at the place where the atrocities against the civilian population of the area were committed, the Municipal Authority holds a memorial service in their memory.
A foreign researcher accurately refers to the acts of violence perpetrated against the inhabitants of Hadriani by the Bulgarian occupying troops.
The facts are recognized by a corresponding published text of the International Inter-Allied Commission on the human rights violations committed in Eastern Macedonia by the Bulgarian troops.
It should be noted that in Hadriani, specifically in the area of the Square, there is another memorial for the Fallen, in which the commemorative events of October 28 and March 25 take place every year, with the laying of wreaths by Schools and Local Authorities. This monument was erected in 1991 and is a gift of K. Lazaridis.
