The building is an important cultural heritage of the place, for this reason and 50 years after it was last inhabited, the Municipality has proceeded with its restoration and promotion.
The main building is two-storied, broad-fronted, with a porch and a roof, and is part of a larger property with outbuildings, located within a large courtyard. Access to the property was through the eastern entrance of the courtyard while the entrance to the building is through a semi-outdoor space-porch.
On the ground floor, the areas for agricultural activities and the household were organized and were mainly used for the storage and processing of the products produced by the family itself, while on the first floor the areas for the family were organized. In the rural household economy, home spaces were not mono-functional, but seasonally hosted other activities.
The building currently houses the Folklore Museum, which houses an excellent exhibition on the daily lifestyle from the middle of the last century to the 1950s.
On the ground floor and on the upper floor of the Museum we can get to know the lifestyle, culture, customs and traditions of the residents of the wider area, through the objects that have been offered by the residents but also through impressive digital applications.
