It is the last station of the prefecture of Drama towards Alexandroupolis. The Station operated for the first time in 1900 and on the same line as the others. By decision of the Central Council of New Monuments, parts of the Station and more specifically the shell of the passenger station, the engine room, the water tower and the shell of the foreman’s residence, which are buildings of the end of the 19th century, were designated monuments and are protected by the corresponding special status.
The building has two floors and the ground floor hosts the station’s employees’ quarters, while the first floor is used as the Station Master’s residence. On either side of both narrow sides of the station there are later additions of ground-floor building structures that serve as passenger waiting areas and auxiliary spaces. It is a special use building and maintains its original morphological and structural elements, it is connected to the social and economic development of its area and is therefore important for the development of the area from a historical, cultural, cultural, economic and social point of view at the end of 19th and early 20th century.
